Privacy and analytics
MuGlobe is a music atlas and encyclopedia. This page explains analytics and the services used to deliver the site.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find MuGlobe and which public pages they read. Google receives page addresses and titles, the referring website, approximate location derived from your connection, and browser/device information. Analytics cookies distinguish visits and sessions. We do not send account names, email addresses, precise globe coordinates or page query strings as analytics fields.
We keep advertising personalization and Google signals disabled. The same analytics property and cookie settings cover muglobe.com and wiki.muglobe.com. Automatic tracking of globe movements and form contents is disabled. Analytics is not loaded on account, administration or article editing pages.
Analytics runs on public pages without an on-page prompt. Previously saved choices to decline analytics continue to prevent collection while that preference cookie remains present. Analytics cookies are configured to expire after six months, with expiry renewed during use. Opting out does not erase data already processed.
Google processes analytics data under its privacy policy. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Listening, accounts and essential services
Recordings play through YouTube, which makes its own connections and applies its own privacy and cookie policies. MuGlobe analytics settings do not control YouTube. Signing in uses MuGlobe’s shared account service and necessary session cookies. Account information supports sign-in and features you choose to use. Hosting services process connection information needed to deliver and secure the site. Support payments open the separate payment provider.
